Yay! Comics with Bob: Issue 03

Yay! Comics w/ Bob Issue 3
Sorry about not posting last week loyal readers. (yeah right, readers, ha!) I had a crazy week so there was no update, but I will do a double shot of nerd with two (maybe) issues this week. So w/out any further blah, blah, blah from yours truly…let’s get down to business…
FANTASTIC FOUR #570: So the Millar/Hitch era is over and this is what we get? The story for this issue was okay, but the art work was just the pits. It was soo bad it took away from the story, I hate that. I mean Reed Richards looked like he played in Major League Baseball circa 1999 and hit 57 home runs. He was huge, like Superman huge, it looked awful. Also, for some reason had a sweet George Michael 5 o’clock shadow…
ULTIMATE COMICS SPIDER 2: Again, another cool issue from Bendis. However I really don’t understand why the series needed a reboot and why it is now 3.99. Kind of lame, but a quality read, as always.
LUKE CAGE NOIR 2: The “Marvel Noir” series has been a treat this season, but the Luke Cage story seems forced to me. The dialog seems stiff. I understand what Benson is going for w/ the “cats” and “dolls” stuff, but it seems unnatural and kind of silly.
BATMAN 690: It is a shame. This run of Bats just isn’t very good and it is oblivious. The creative team has already been replaced. Yikes right? I love Mark Bagley’s work but it just looks too clean for Batman. If you are looking for a good Batman book check out STREETS OF GOTHAM. It is amazing and only on issue 3.
NEW AVENGERS 56: Some dude invented a super power disrupter and the Avengers are screwed. Norman Osborne shows up and they lose power too. The Hood, on the other hand gets magic power because of Loki and some sweet Asgardian stones. So keeping score for the issue:
New Avengers: no powers
Dark Avengers: no powers
The Hood: powers
Just a quick question: Who else is sick of Norman Osborne?
