Yay! Comics with Bob: Issue 01

Hello all, Bob Fresh here. I figured since we have this cool new website, it would be cool to do some fun stuff with it. I decided that I would write a weekly comic book feature. I mean, I love comics and read comics; I might as well use this website as a forum to complain about them like most other fans do. So, with out further ado, lets get cracking….

What was in the bag this week:

ULTIMATE COMICS SPIDER-MAN 1: After the earth shaking events of Ultimatum, sike that sh*t was lame, the future of Ultimate Spider-Man was in the air. Was he dead, missing, trapped in the nightmare world? Nope, he was fine. Nothing happened, at all. Marvel simply placed a #1 on the cover and charged an extra dollar. Way to go guys.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 602: Mary Jane and the Chameleon are back for another round. I am pretty amped about MJ being back cause I have always wanted to do her, strange I know, but she is my favorite comic book lady. (Sue Richards being second). The Chameleon is a cool old school Spidey bad guy, which is cool because most of the other ones now have their own titles. A good issue.

ULTIMATE COMICS AVANGERS 1: This was a sweet issue. Captain America has gone rouge and black Nic Fury is coming back to find him. This is also the first appearance of Ultimate Red Skull, which I cool because The Skull is a classic villain. The bad part is he looks all rap rock. At first, I thought he was the singer of like a Korn cover band. Overall a cool first issue to a series I am excited about.

BLACKEST NIGHT 2: I like how this Green Lantern epic comic event is playing out so far. Granted it still feels like DC Zombies, but Geoff John and Ivan Reis might be the best team in comics today. A must read.

Okay, those were a few of the highlights, have fun and I will repost Wednesday night…
